Latest Updates from Our Project:

An Update on the last couple weeks and shipping date!
about 5 years ago – Mon, May 13, 2019 at 12:05:07 AM

Hello again,

In the last couple weeks we've been straightening out a few production details with our printer in regards to the Persona Cards (there was some confusion about their construction.) It's all cleared up now and, assuming there are no other setbacks, it will be another 90 days for production, and roughly 30 for shipping.

Production of the mini figures hit another small snag and had to be put on hold for financial reasons, but I should be able to get going on them once more in another week or so.

In the meantime I'm going to see what I can do to get the plush toys moving forward so that everything can be ready at the same time, which is looking like August/September, but I can give you all a more accurate date as it approaches.

Pics or it didn't happen

Hello everyone.

As you all well know the quest to get the first sample of Killbots, Inc. produced has been an unusually long and arduous one, but it's coming to a close soon, and this time I actually have evidence to prove it!

The pics below were sent by my publisher ahead of the physical copy, which I'll go over with a fine tooth comb in as timely a manner as I can. I'll also take a few detail shots to share at that time.

Killbox.

While waiting around for the sample to reveal itself I've been hard at work on the molds for the minifigure. This wasn't something I was originally going to take on myself, but it's been a small joy learning a new crafting skill (latex mold making) even with the MANY stumbles I've made a long the way. I'm on my third version of the 3D printed model, my fourth version of the molds, and possibly at my wit's end.

Would victory even be worth it otherwise?

One half of the minifugure molds. The other half currently looks like someone blew their nose on some toy parts.

I'd like to take one more moment to again apologize to all my backers for the extended timeline and lack of organization this project has had. While these pictures are not something you can put on your shelf or play with friends, my hope is that it goes some way to putting any fears to rest about the game's status.

Long Time No See

Hello Everyone,

I know you guys have been waiting very patiently for the next update, and I apologize that there hasn't been much of recent, and my busy work life has made some of my regular responsibilities (like talking to you good people) a bit more difficult. That being said:

This past week I received some feedback from our manufacturing regarding the manual, so I had to address that and am now awaiting their judgement. My publishers have let me know that this should be the last round of revisions.

Mini-figure production had to go on pause for a while and I am now making a few adjustments to the 3D model to get a better print - and by extension a cleaner, cooler-looking figurine.

I can pretty clearly see that there is concern that your money has been thrown into the vacuum of space, but I assume that it has been thrown into the machine that makes robot card games (I've not seen the machine in person but I assume that's how it works)

Another quick update
over 5 years ago – Tue, Oct 09, 2018 at 11:59:59 PM

Hi Everyone,

Earlier this week my publisher had me make some final additions to the content of the game before being sent back to the printers. This will unfortunately set the projected release date back a bit, but I am working to keep these delays as short as reasonably possible.

I will provide further updates when I receive more information.

I want to thank all the wonderful people having a mature and measured discussion about the whole production situation in the comments section without calling each other names. I know we all want the physical copy to arrive at our doorsteps, but everyone's patience will be rewarded.

We're still here, and we're still making robots.
